Artwork
Raster VS Vector
A bitmap image, commonly referred to as raster, is an image composed by a series of dots or pixels which are highly dependent on resolution and size. A vector is a resolution independent image created with mathematically calculated bezier paths. Vector images are created in design software like Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, or Inkscape. Vectors are an industry standard for any and all printing, display, and marketing efforts.
High-resolution raster images may be used in many digital and digital/hybrid print methods. When a vector image is necessary, we offer a redraw service that will leave your design sharp at any size.

Line-Weight & Knockout
It is important to note that too much detail in a design can fill in or may be left out in certain applications. It is required to have at least 1 point thickness for thin lines and a minimum 2 points for any negative space as to detain the dignity of your design.
Digital Printing tends to not have this issue but any high-detail art will degrade the smaller it gets.

Feel & Longevity
One of the most important things is how a garment feels while you wear it. A large deposit of ink will feel like a shield and not move well with the fabric and often comes off as cheap. By allowing a balanced amount of negative space in the design you will be able to use the colors of the garment as an additional color which will make the garment feel better, more comfortable, and save you some cash.

Art Preparation
Resolution
All raster art must be submitted at 300 DPI/PPI so that way your art may be printed closest to its original look.
Fonts
Convert all text to outlines. Make sure your fonts are not “live fonts” they should be converted to non-editable vectors. If you need a redraw please provide the font file—otherwise a close substitute will be used.
Color
Provide any specific Pantone colors you want for your design. We can color-match with most decoration methods but stock colors are regularly used in the interest of saving you money.
