Who We Are
In 1993 at the age of 15, I sat at the impossibly slow computer of my friend Josh and using Microsoft paint created the logo for the brand that would take over the world. "Surf The World" was going to be the raddest surf brand that two landlocked kids who had never surfed a day in their lives had ever created. Sadly, STW never got any further than that wood-paneled kitchenette. And although we didn’t set the world on fire that day, we did create a spark that would grow into an inferno. Over the next three decades, there were bands, brands, and businesses too numerous to mention but all an important part of who we would become. What we are today is a direct result of 30 years of trying the things that everyone told us were too hard, too scary, or just plain stupid. Yeah we have failed at times, and yeah we have had some really bad ideas, but to this day we remain unafraid to try. That 15-year-old kid was stupid and scared too, but if he hadn’t been brave enough to try then you wouldn’t be reading this today and that would be way worse than a failed attempt.

Be The Best At Being Better
We believe that the only way to stay at the top of our game is to constantly improve ourselves and the game. We aren’t worried about being a better version of anything other than ourselves. We aren’t in competition with anyone because we can’t be a better version of them any more than they could be a better version of us. Our only goal is to improve ourselves in some small way each day so we will leave all things better than we found them.
